Mark Ewert | Director Vendor Management | Penn National Insurance
Mark is the Director, Vendor Risk of Penn National Insurance. He also serves as Executive Vice President and Secretary of Partners Mutual Insurance Company. He joined the company full-time in 1994 as Manager-Human Relations, Product Analysis, and Home Office Services. He was elected to the position of Secretary in 1999 and was elected to his current position of Executive Vice President effective January 1, 2002. Mark served as Treasurer from January 2014 to May 2015. The Secretary duties were returned to Mark in May 2015.
Mark holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. Mark earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1998 and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1999. He completed the core programs of the CPCU Society's National Leadership Institute in 2002. Mark received the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) Merit Award in recognition of exemplary efforts and professionalism in the Insurance Industry and was inducted into the NAMIC Merit Society in 2005.
Mark is active with the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society - Greater Milwaukee Chapter where he has served as New Designee Representative, Membership Chair, Treasurer, Vice President, and President. He served as vice chair of the CPCU Society Finance, Training and Development Committee. Mark currently serves as the chair of the CPCU Society Chapter Leadership Training and Resource Committee. Mark has served the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) as a member and chair of the Methods/Procedures and Information Systems committee. He also served the NAMIC PAC as a Board Trustee. Mark has sung in and directed the NAMIC Choir at its annual conventions for many years.
Mark is active in his church, Elm Grove Ev. Lutheran, where he serves as Congregation President, chancel assistant, solos regularly, and sings in the choir. He has served as congregation President, Vice President, on its Church Council, its Board of Elders, and chaired its pastoral call committee. Mark served Cub Scout Pack 64 as Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster; and served Boy Scout Troop 64 as a committee member coordinating the troop’s fundraising efforts.
Mark is also active with the Menomonee Falls community theater, Falls Patio Players, Inc. In addition to set construction, he has held multiple roles in the musicals, plays, and the company’s annual production of Christmas Carol. In 2020 he was elected Treasurer of Falls Patio Players. Mark has also lead the singing of the National Anthem at community events.
