About TPRA

The TPRA is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit corporation established in October 2018 and is headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa.  It is a membership-based, professional association for Third Party Risk Management Practitioners & Service Providers.  The TPRA is a community of like-minding, third party risk professionals who collectively further the profession through knowledge sharing and networking.  Our vision is ​to be the global voice and standard for the third party risk profession!  But we cannot do that without our team members.  As a community, we work to promote the value that third party risk professionals and practitioners add to their organizations; educate community members and other relevant audiences on best practices in third party risk; research and disseminate information on third party risk tools and techniques; and build third party risk guidance as a community.

Job Description

We are looking for an aspiring marketing and communications professional to manage and create content for our organization’s email campaigns, website, and social media page(s), as well as work to recruit and retain TPRA membership.  Content created will be related to our organization’s brand, products, events, and services. 

 

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Conducting customer, competitor, and product research. Use the information learned to enhance our organization’s marketing and promotional efforts. 

  • Developing weekly and/or monthly editorial/social media calendars to promote our brand, services, and events. 

  • Assist in the designing and executing of marketing campaigns for our website, email, and social media accounts. 

  • Creating and/or obtaining content for and publishing blog posts and press releases. 

  • Monitoring postings to ensure brand message is consistent from the terminology used to images posted. 

  • Tracking social media and website engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability. 

  • Creating copy and infographics for marketing campaigns, website, products, etc.   

  • Assist with creating informative and educational videos for use on our website, LinkedIn page, and YouTube channel. 

  • Assisting with the creation of various forms and documents. 

  • Assisting with the editing and maintenance of our websites. 

  • Communicating with our officers, practitioner members, vendor members, and board members through email and/or virtual meetings. 

  • Developing ways to retain and attract TPRA Practitioner and Vendor Membership and implementing approved activities.

  • Creating and distributing membership content and products.

  • Assist with the drafting of our Third Party Risk Management Guidebook (researching, creating written content and infographics, comprehensive editing, and more). 

  • Providing creative insight into furthering brand awareness and membership engagement. 

  • Additional tasks as needed.  

 

Requirements: 

  • Student currently studying/recently completed a relevant college program (including but not limited to communications, English, marketing, advertising, public relations, journalism, etc.). 

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn functionality and advertising. 

  • Experience creating infographics in various forms and formats. 

  • Proficient in written communication, with experience creating copy for digital mediums. 

  • Strong critical thinking skills and able to work independently. 

  • Ability to multi-task and provide valuable insight. 

  • Willing to work collaboratively. 

  • Must have reliable access to internet and computer. 

 

Preferences: 

  • Versed in Wix or another website builder platform. 

  • Versed in search engine optimization (SEO). 

  • Versed in social media trends and analytics (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Wix). 

  • Versed in audio and/or video editing software (Adobe preferred).

  • Versed in Office 365 products. 

  • Knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Canva).  

 

We are looking for someone creative who can think outside the box and introduce new ideas to promote the growth of our organization. A self-starter looking to grow their skills in a variety of areas, platforms, techniques, and strategies. This internship will provide experience in marketing strategy, graphic design, website design and editing, copy writing, email marketing, blog and press release writing, leadership skills, professional relationship development, brand promotion and growth, and more. We are willing to adjust internship hours to meet the needs of applicant, and to provide verification of internship hours for college/program credit.
