The Business Resilience Council (BRC) is a nonprofit, multi-sector, collaborative defense community where members share actionable intelligence, security, and resilience best practices and analyst-curated information to help reduce risk and negative impacts across all hazards – cyber, physical, geopolitical, terrorism, major weather events and more. Key working groups focus on operational resilience, disaster recovery, supply chain and third-party risk, AI security, and cross-sector exercises. Brian Katula has been immersed in Operational Resilience since the beginning of his professional career. From the research of existing best practices and regulations, to co-authoring the GRF Operational Resilience Framework alongside numerous industry experts, he has focused his work on business continuity, supporting the development of multiple implementation and tabletop exercises. He is versed in facilitating discussion between senior executives from multiple sectors on complex and sensitive issue that are common in Operational Resilience. Katula has an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from University of Maryland and his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

As CEO of Global Resilience Federation (GRF), Mr. Orsi oversees day-to-day operations, technology growth and partnerships, and plays a premier role in advancing GRF activities for its multi-industry member network.

Prior to joining GRF in 2019, he led strategic efforts for several prominent Fortune 100 companies, working directly with CIOs and CISOs to develop, deploy and improve security controls protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. At JPMorgan Chase he served as executive director and product owner for cybersecurity and technology controls.
