The Senior Risk Manager – Third Party & Contract Risk leads the development, execution, and oversight of our enterprise-wide third-party and contract risk programs. This role ensures supplier engagements align with corporate policies, regulatory expectations, and our organization’s risk tolerance. You will work cross-functionally with Legal, Sourcing, Compliance, ESG, and other business units to assess supplier risk, enforce policy requirements, support contract reviews, and strengthen organizational accountability in vendor oversight. This position plays a critical role in driving transparency, risk mitigation, and compliance across the supplier lifecycle.
The Day-to-day
Lead and maintain the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program, including policy governance, risk tiering, and exception management.
Monitor supplier performance, incidents, and compliance through ongoing risk monitoring activities.
Draft, update, and maintain enterprise policies and SOPs relating to supplier and contract risk.
Develop dashboards, reports, and executive-level summaries to highlight risk trends and support decision-making.
Support audits and regulatory inquiries involving vendor governance and contract compliance.
Serve as the escalation point for supplier risk issues, policy breaches, and mitigation planning.
Maintain and govern the third-party risk classification system and oversight workflows.
Oversee contract risk assessments, insurance and indemnity requirements, and resolution of related gaps.
Review and approve contracts for compliance with insurance, indemnity, and regulatory risk standards.
Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions related to third-party risk incidents.
Lead quarterly reporting to senior management and compliance stakeholders.
Partner with sourcing and category teams to integrate risk mitigation strategies within procurement processes.
Develop and manage policy documents, templates, and supplier scorecards.
Ensure completion of COI tracking, incident escalation, and corrective actions.
Lead cross-functional working sessions with Legal, Compliance, ESG, and other stakeholders.
Train business units on risk policies, assessment requirements, and monitoring expectations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of prior relevant experience in third-party risk management, insurance, compliance, or vendor governance in a large or regulated organization
- Strong knowledge of contract risk, indemnity clauses, and insurance requirements including COIs.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and governing vendor risk policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with CLM systems, COI tracking processes, and audit protocols.
- Skilled in cross-functional communication with an ability to influence and partner effectively with Legal, Compliance, ESG, and procurement teams.
- Proficiency with data and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, and FCPA.
- Ability to identify risk gaps, implement enhancements, and support enterprise-wide adoption of risk governance standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident management capabilities, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Ability to review and approve contracts for compliance with insurance, indemnity, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience creating risk templates, supplier scorecards, and standardized documentation.
