Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
Please review the eligibility requirements for your selected course or certification before registering.
Individuals who do not meet the published eligibility requirements for a certification are not eligible to earn that certification until all requirements have been satisfied.
The Third Party Risk Association (TPRA) reserves the right to verify eligibility, request supporting documentation, and make final eligibility determinations on a case-by-case basis. TPRA also reserves the right to deny or revoke enrollment, examination eligibility, or certification at its discretion.
Refund Policy
Trainings
Refunds for training sessions are available only if:
-
You have not attended any training session.
-
You have provided the required notice within the required timeframe.
-
TPRA is unable to enroll you in a new training session within 120 days of the one you originally purchased.
Examinations
Refunds for examinations are available only if:
-
You have not taken your certification exam.
-
You are determined to be ineligible for certification and are not expected to meet the eligibility requirements within one (1) year.
Approved refunds will be issued for the purchase price, minus a 6% administrative fee.
No refunds will be issued once training has been attended, or an examination has been attempted.
Training Cancellations
If you are unable to attend your scheduled training, you must notify TPRA by email at least 24 hours before the scheduled training start time.
Requests received less than 24 hours before the training begins are considered late cancellations and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
TPRA reserves the right to review exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Examination Cancellations
If you are unable to attend your scheduled certification exam, you must notify Pearson VUE at least 24 hours before your scheduled exam appointment in accordance with Pearson VUE's cancellation policy.
Failure to provide the required notice may result in a $200 examination retake fee.
Failure to Attend
Failure to attend a scheduled training session or examination without providing the required notice will result in forfeiture of the applicable registration fees.
Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or late cancellations.
Rescheduling Training
If you provide the required cancellation notice, TPRA will make reasonable efforts to transfer your registration to another available training session occurring within 120 days of your original training date.
If TPRA is unable to accommodate a transfer within that timeframe, you may request a refund, minus the 6% administrative fee.
Registration Transfers
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your training, examination, or bundled registration to another individual, provided:
-
Training has not been attended.
-
The certification examination has not been taken.
-
The substitute participant meets all applicable eligibility requirements.
Training Attendance & CPE Requirements
Participants must attend and actively participate in the entire training session to receive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit and successfully complete the course.
Participants who leave early, miss substantial portions of the training, or otherwise fail to meet attendance requirements may not receive CPE credit or course completion.
CPE Credit: One (1) CPE credit is awarded for every 50 minutes of qualified instructional time.
Course Access & Expiration
Unless otherwise stated, purchased courses must be completed within one (1) year of the purchase date.
If the course is not completed within the one-year access period, an extension fee may apply. Extension pricing may range from a partial fee to the full current course price, depending on the circumstances.
Upon successful completion, you will retain ongoing access to the course content and included materials unless otherwise specified.

Training Changes & Unforeseen Circumstances
TPRA reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, modify, or cancel any training session or certification examination due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to instructor illness, severe weather, technical issues, insufficient enrollment, or other unforeseen events.
If TPRA cancels or reschedules a training session, registered participants will be offered the option to transfer to a future session or receive a full refund. TPRA is not responsible for any travel, lodging, or other incidental expenses incurred by participants.
Recording & Privacy Notice
To support course delivery, quality assurance, and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) attendance verification, TPRA may record live virtual training sessions.
By participating in a live training, you acknowledge and consent to the recording of the session. Recordings may include participant names, audio, video, chat messages, questions, and other interactions. Recordings are used solely for legitimate business and educational purposes and are handled in accordance with TPRA's Privacy Policy.
