Leadership Challenges

I haven't always been confident speaking about the topic of TPRM. Although I dedicated a lot of time to learning the subject matter and understood the core concepts, challenges, and best practices, I struggled to confidently share my perspective in front of an audience. I felt like I was too young and even too female to say anything that would be taken seriously. I learned early on that it didn't work for me to try to emulate a male presentation style that simply didn't feel like me. Over time and with a lot of practice, I developed my confidence and self trust to use my voice to lead conversations on industry thought leadership topics. I deeply understand what it's like to know that you have a value perspective but not know how to share it. I've made it a goal in my career to seek mentorship from other women who have experienced a similar challenge and to share what I've learned on my journey with others as well.

Key Take-a-ways

My favorite aspect of TPRM is how there's always a conversation about iteration and continuous improvement for program processes. Everyone involved in the TPRM community (analysts, third parties, auditors, solution providers) has a different, valuable perspective on how the lifecycle can create better risk outcomes. It's an exciting time to be a part of that conversation from a product perspective and to explore what is possible with data, AI, and automation.
